Don’t simply consume; create
In 2020, I started a podcast with my brother. We sat down over the course of 5 episodes, intending for more, and discussed life principles surrounding healthy community. We dreamed of the potential, the lives we could impact by building a following of people who wanted something more out of their respective communities.
After this short production, life happened: I built a family; he built a non-profit.
In the midst of life, I continued to build content. I created on social media on and off, documented in my blog intermitently, and compiled notes on various principles important to my life.
After 4+ years, I am ready to share the first book of hopefully many.
I am proud to release An Insulated Life: Made for Community.
I enjoy the process of writing and creating. It stirs something in me that I did not realize, and offers me a unique opportunity to speak into someone’s life. However, creating has little to no impact if it is never shared. So I need to share what is on my mind and heart specifically, in this case, about community.
We need to do something to battle this epidemic of loneliness, and we need to remind people of a need that is deep-rooted and wired into the very nature of the world. This book is me taking a step in that direction.
Healthy community is an essential aspect to thriving in this world, yet it is something that many are lacking in their lives. The people who surround someone in life matter way more than the general population acknowledges. These things are so significant, critical to our humanity, and it is time to step back to evaluate the role they play in our lives.
This books serves as a collection of principles that seem to be consistently present in healthy communities and healthy individuals. This is a book of hope, stirring people to action and purpose. This is a book of challenge and encouragement, prompting people to do something different. It is a book built off of observation and learning, self-reflection and humble growth, intentional care, and a desire for something better.
Just a friendly reminder, it is within your control to build a healthy community around you. This book is a resource for that. I hope you will get a copy today!
